Working with these guys on Monday. Life could be worse. #vinyl #records #steelpanther
Worked with KADAVAR tonight, saw them blow the roof off the Northcote Social Club with riffs, got records signed, good times, no hassles. #kadavar #vinyl #records
Gifts from my buddy Johnny Death. Yes, the bottle is empty. The Venom record is mint! He saw it in Japan and bought it and yeah, I was the lucky dude who got it. Another Venom record to add to my collection. The Motörhead bottle is a nice addition to the mantle piece… Not that I have a mantle piece but still. #venom #motorhead #Motörhead #vinyl #records
Been rockin’ out to The Hookers (and related) a lot lately. Cool band. Saw them a couple times in the USA. Solid band!
I found this sometime in the 90s. The irony is that I found it at this really old record store that no longer exists called Batman Records. It used to be on Elizabeth St in the city of Melbourne. It cost me like $6 or something. I think it’s worth it.
Find of the day: a bootleg of different White Stripes 7”ers from different labels around the globe. #thewhitestripes #whitestripes #vinyl #records #bootleg
When I got this in 93, I bought it thinking it was gonna be just another record and had no idea that this band was about to explode. I bought it cos I had the Rhinoceros EP on CD with those 4 tracks and that sweet ballad Bye June on the end but anyway, I bought this cos of that and when I got home I was pretty into the sounds on this album, especially the guitar tones. I then saw them live in 94 at the Big Day Out, they played just before the Ramones, and they were great! (Truth be told, the Ramones blew them and everyone else off the stage that day) After this album blew up, I kinda lost interest in following their career and kept looking elsewhere for other bands to enjoy - how elitist of me - and probably listened to something awesome like the Devil Dogs or something. The flyer for them that I have included in this photo I picked up from Jelly’s Music when I was in Hawaii in January 1991. I didn’t get to see the show cos I was only a youngster back then. Also, proof that I’m a hoarder. Why the hell do I still have a gig flyer from 22 years ago?!?! I’m old. :( regardless, I really like this album a lot more than Gish which is cliche’d to say but what the hell, it’s good. Oh and I have to say that Billy Corgan, regardless of what people think of him, he has one of those instantly recognisable voices in rock music. Like you can’t mistake him for someone else and I think that’s pretty cool. #smashingpumpkins #vinyl #records #billycorgan #jellysmusic #hawaii #pinksgarage
