Would love to see this reunion show.
Finally, after years of searching, it is now in my collection. This is the only actual release that I know of (besides their inclusion on the Silence Is Guilty compilation 7”) of old Adelaide Straight-Edge band, PRICE OF SILENCE. This 10” was released on the singer’s old label, Spiral Objective. I missed this when it was first released in 1996 and have searched it out ever since. Today I found it for $10 and I am pretty damn happy about it. Awesome score!
This is great news. Spoke to the singer and he has confirmed that so far half the band are on board. Wish I could be in the USA for this. Their EP on Victory Records “What Will It Take?” is one of my fave SXE hardcore records. The band were one of the earliest outspoken vegetarian / vegan SXE bands on the circuit and were quite heavy too. Keep your eyes peeled cos that shit will rule!
Found these 3 issues of a Straight Edge newsletter from the mid-90’s tonight while cleaning up. Had no idea I even still had these.
NATIONS ON FIRE - “Nothing But Fire” (2000)
In 2002, I was in Belgium on tour with Marky Ramone & The Speedkings and on one of my days off, my friend, Nick Cooper (Speedkings vocalist), took me to the warehouse of Goodlife Records. While there, I met Edward who was the owner of Goodlife Records. He was also a member of Nations On Fire and he gave me this record as a gift. I was amazed. He also gave me a Nations On Fire LP as well which I was super happy with. This band kicked ass!
Walk Proud - “RIP”
Found this in Japan for 300 yen. Didn’t even know they did an album as I only had the 7” EP. This isn’t bad. From 1990. Great drummer.
So bust this, Peta was busy flippin’ burgers so was unable to be a part of this week’s show so that gave me free reign to go hardcore with the music and play tons of rad shit. Not that I wouldn’t have played it anyway but you know what I mean. There’s tons of stories about discovering bands, buying records, etc. The usual stuff that you have grown to love (hate?) from the LGL Rock Show. Anyway, click here, turn it up and get groovin’. Busy at the moment? Ok, so listen later by right click and save as on this link. Bingo! Everyone’s kicked a goal!

Toe To Toe were not a straight-edge hardcore band but they sure sounded like one. This band kick fucking ass! (say that last part in your best Joey DeMaio voice and it sounds so much better)
Found this years ago for $1. It’s on green vinyl too. SCORE!
Dinosaur Jr covered this tune, believe it or not.
